Visiting policies

During Your Visits

• Please take care of the children and be accompanied by an adult during the visit.

• Please do not bring large items into the museum. Visitors may deposit their belongings inside the museum if necessary. 

• Flash photography, lighting equipment, and tripods are prohibited.

• Please keep the area clean, please do not damage or soil the exhibits, installations, walls, and facilities. Smoking, eating or drinking are also not allowed.

• Please refrain from making noise, playing around, and using mobile phones for calls inside the museum.

• The Museum reserves the right to refuse or dismiss any visitor.

Special Arrangements Under Inclement Weather Conditions

 

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above

• If the signal is in force before opening hours, the Museum will remain closed. 

• If the signal is issued during opening hours, the Museum will be closed. All appointments and programmes scheduled for that day, will be cancelled.

• If the signal is cancelled or lowered to Signal No.3 or below 4 hours or more before the normal closing time and conditions allow, the Museum will resume service within 2 hours. If less than 4 hours remain until closing, the Museum will remain closed for the rest of the day. All programmes scheduled for that day, will be cancelled.

Black Rainstorm Warning Signal

• If the signal is in force before opening hours, the Museum will remain closed. 

• If the signal is issued during opening hours, the Museum will remain open.

• If the signal is cancelled 4 hours or more before the normal closing time and conditions allow, the Museum will resume service within 2 hours. If less than 4 hours remain until closing, the Museum will remain closed for the rest of the day. All programmes scheduled for that day, will be cancelled.

 

"Extreme Conditions"

• If "Extreme Conditions" is in force before opening hours, the Museum will remain closed. 

• If "Extreme Conditions" is issued during opening hours, the opening hours may be subject to adjustment.

• If "Extreme Conditions" is cancelled 4 hours or more before the normal closing time and conditions allow, the Museum will resume service within 2 hours. If less than 4 hours remain until closing, the Museum will remain closed for the rest of the day. All programmes scheduled for that day, will be cancelled.

By entering the Museum as a visitor, you acknowledge that your participation is voluntary. You may be photographed or filmed during the visit and you grant the Museum a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, irrevocable and unrestricted right to use, reproduce, publish and display any reports, imagery, videos or other copyright material, resulting from your visit, in any manner or media, including the right to sub-license to others at Museum's discretion.
