Black & White Hand-Drawn Map Demonstration

In conjunction with the “The 2nd Hong Kong Paintings in Sai Yuen Lane” exhibition, Sun Museum will host a hand-drawn map demonstration on Saturday, 11 July, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. We have invited the featured artist Angryangry (Leung Ka Chun) from the first phase exhibition to live demonstrate how he uses technical pens and water-soluble coloured pencils to sketch a hand-drawn map themed around the intersection of Sheung Wan and Sai Ying Pun.

The neighbourhoods of Sheung Wan and Sai Ying Pun are among the most vibrant and lively corners of Hong Kong. The iconic “Ding Ding” trams and street cats leisurely pass by, and the streets are lined with the signboards of historic shops. Near the waterfront pier, old-world charm seamlessly intertwines with modern cafes, art galleries, and murals, creating a perfect blend of nostalgia and hipster culture. With meticulous black-and-white lines complemented by a light watercolour wash, Angryangry will vividly bring these story-filled streets and characters to life.

This event will be conducted in Cantonese, with free admission.

We warmly welcome everyone to come and witness the creative process firsthand and see up close how the artist transforms everyday urban scenery into a warm, soulful artistic map!
