Chinese Calligraphy Basics Course I & II 
 

Sun Museum is delighted to collaborate with rising calligraphy star William Ho (@williamho_calligraphy) to launch a beginner’s calligraphy workshop in August! No prior experience is needed, allowing you to spend 1.5 hours each week exploring the charm of Chinese calligraphy and enjoying the pleasure of writing.

Each calligraphy course consists of two sessions, conducted in Cantonese. Suitable for those aged 16 and above. This activity is funded by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, with a fee of HK$100, including calligraphy materials and tools.

Bird Illustration Watercolour Experience Class

Sun Museum is thrilled to collaborate with watercolour artist Hui Yeun Ying Brenda to present the “Bird Illustration Watercolour Experience Class” in August. Join us as we use watercolour and brushes to capture the essence of our feathered friends in this city! 


This activity is funded by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, with no prior watercolour experience is needed, and beginners are welcome. Through this course, participants will learn fundamental watercolour techniques, including blending and colour gradients, wet and dry brush techniques, shadow handling, and simple colour mixing.
You’ll also gain fascinating insights into Hong Kong’s birds and handy birdwatching tips provided by the instructor. 

The watercolour classes span 3 sessions over 3 weeks, conducted in Cantonese, and is suitable for those aged 16 and above. The fee includes watercolour materials and paper frames for use during the classes.
